Erika Stewart and Joshua Grinath, assistant professor of community and global change ecology, collect samples at an experimental sites along Interstate 15 near Inkom on Monday, September 26, 2022. Stewart has been working with the Idaho Transportation Department to find out how to make the land hospitable to native plants and resistant to invasive weeds, have increased fire resistance, and be an attractive habitat for pollinators like bees and butterflies.
